Welcome to Cumberland Village Health Care!

Cumberland Village Health Care is owned and operated by the Beaufort Family Health Society, a community-led, non-profit Society. We provide primary care services to residents of Cumberland and the Comox Valley.

Cumberland Village Health Care is part of the Comox Valley Primary Care Network, which provides our patients with direct access to Allied Healthcare Providers as part of our team-based care model. Allied Healthcare Providers may include a registered nurse, social worker, dietitian, mental health and substance use clinician, and clinical pharmacist. Patients of our clinic can be referred to our in-house Allied Healthcare Providers at no cost. Currently, we have a Registered Nurse, a Registered Dietitian and a Mental Health Substance Use clinician.

Need a Primary Care Provider?

Cumberland Village Health Care pulls patients from the Comox Valley Health Connect Registry. If you are a resident of the Comox Valley or Comox Valley Regional District and do not have a Primary Care Provider, you can register for the Health Connect Registry Waitlist online at https://www.healthlinkbc.ca/health-connect-registry/comox-valley or by calling 811.

Please note we are not accepting walk-in or phone patient registration requests, transfers from other local primary care providers, and we do not have a waitlist.

Our Story

The Beaufort Family Health Society was formed in 2022, in response to the absence of primary care services in Cumberland.

The Society received tremendous community support to ensure a primary health care model was developed that ensures the long-term sustainability primary health care services in the community.

Support and leadership were received from the Village of Cumberland, MLA Josie Osbourne, the Ministry of Health, the Comox Valley Primary Care Network and the founding volunteer Board of Directors.

The Society opened Cumberland Village Health Care in September 2023, and estimates serving over 5,000 patients at full capacity.
